Random again....

God is good...

Even though I was a bit lazy today, I was able to be involved in part of the plan God has in store for my life.

Lydia and I started a new church today in Manhattan called the journey. It is located at the Manhattan Center in the grand ballroom. There are three services held at 10am, 1130am and 1pm ( and for those of you who know sleeping is my favorite pass time ), I attended the 1pm service. The service was full of people my age ( college students, young professionals ). I knew every song they played not to mention the songs were some of my favorite. They gave free Starbucks coffee, Jamie. New members were given books, Cds, and the options to sign up for different activities so you can receive more information. ( Andrea don't go driving me crazy, I'll join what I want...God is the boss, I know you try very hard to be, but you're not! ) I really enjoyed it!!!!!!!!

God is so good not only for all I have mentioned so far, but also today ( the first day I was able to go to this church ) was the first day of service this new year, the first day they started a new challenge called "serveONE" ( more info. soon to come ), and I believe the first day they discussed their next mission trip to South Africa ( which may be for me instead of the World Vision internship, but only time will tell, not my sister, I'll wait and see ).

After church, we went to our favorite Italian restaurant (so far ) by our apartment, called Carmine's Pizza. Afterwards, we were supposed to do laundry, but naps definitely pushed that out of the picture until tomorrow.

I have my first day of work tomorrow, so please keep me in your prayers....and I guess since now I'm somewhat committed to this, I'll keep whoever reads this posted.....

The parents are gone...

The parents are gone and Lydia and I actually made it around the city without getting lost. We started our day by jumping on the L train and heading to Central Park. We shopped and walked all over a shopping center where there was a Sephora ( I got new face wash ), J. Crew ( I got a cool new, warm scarf ), Dean and Deluca in the bookstore with a Whole Foods Market on the bottom floor ( too bad for you, Jamie). I also saw a CNN building ( Emily Hefner...future CEO, sounds good ) and the Trump Tower ( where I'll stay my next visit ).

Then off to Soho for some shopping!!! Wow, I'm going to need to make tons of money if I need to save the world and buy clothes! We ate in Little Italy at a cafe that had a menu that wasn't in Italian.

While walking some more we ended up between Chinatown and Tribeca ( where I gave directions to people from PA, yep I've only been here six days ). I bought a new D&G purse (for $35 ), while Lydia was pursued in to buying real name brand purses out of a back room....( but the zipper fell off when we got home, real, huh? ).

On the subway again to Times Square. Very cool!! Jadon, I saw where the play Mary Poppins is shown, you know the movie mommy and daddy wouldn't let you watch. But, I'll for sure take you to Toys R Us where there is a Farris wheel because Wally, for the last time, we all know Jadon loves his auntie Em the best!!!!!!!!! MTV studios was there, too ( where I'll have to be interviewed for being the greatest, maybe even richest woman in the world ). Last, but not least I saw M&M world...for Kayce, of course. I guess I'll have to visit that about ten more times when she comes to visit, maybe I'll even buy he something!

Oh yeah, I saw Nicolas Cage and he wanted a picture with me...

Traveling we go...

Near my work...

My third day in NYC, my mom and I woke up at 6am to travel to 5th and 53th ( near my work ) to sight see. But, really how long can you sight see in 13 degree weather and a wind chill making it zero degrees?

We started at the Trump Tower for coffee at Starbucks ( hot choc. for me, no coffee, Jamie ) then off to Rockefeller Center, Radio City Music Hall, and an old friend from high school, Aida's, office.

I have tons of options to shop, shop, shop!!!....Banana Republic, Kenneth Cole, Coach and tons more! Yes, Andrea I'm going to have better clothes than you!

I think I love it here!!! And I can't wait to for people to come visit me!

It's cold!!!

Finally...

Finally, My sister can leave me alone about this blog! My mom has left Brooklyn. I have now been in NYC for 4 whole days and I think I'm going to love it!!! I was able to find a perfect apartment via Internet and phone only. I love to accomplish things that completely stress me out. Wow, a lot of things stress me out! ;) My roommate and I are getting along well. I think we are going to have a marvelous time while meeting many new, crazy individuals. We will be definitely be trying to stay extra warm when doing so, though.

There is still so much to see, to start work, and to find an awesome church with some great people and/ or guys to keep me sane or to at least quit thinking about unnecessary thoughts.

I already miss my dog and Jadon ( my nephew that loves me the most in the world ), but I will stand strong until they visit me with their smiling faces.

I thank God that he has brought me here not only for giving me a break from school, but also showing me what He has meant for my life.
